[Regarding Overseas-Resident Members]

The following rules apply to overseas-resident members (Japanese nationals residing abroad or foreign nationals temporarily staying in Japan):

① Regardless of the circumstances, if you wish to participate in our keiko practice at our dojo while in Japan, you must complete the membership registration process and pay the annual membership fee (5,000 JPY).

② Overseas-resident members are considered to be on "suspended status" while abroad; therefore, there is no obligation to pay the annual membership fee during that time. (Example: If you join in 2026 and participate in keiko practice in Japan in 2028, you will only need to pay the fee for 2028; the fee for 2027 is waived.)

③ For overseas-resident members, the annual membership fee is paid via a payment slip (payable at convenience stores, etc.) rather than by automatic bank account withdrawal.

We will send the payment slip to you, so please provide the address where you are staying in Japan.

(If your stay is short, we can also send it to the instructor in charge.)

④ Overseas residents also have the option to join as "Regular Members. " However, the annual fee is paid via automatic bank account withdrawal, so this option is limited to those who can register a Japanese bank account. Additionally, a Japanese mailing address is required.

The annual fee will be deducted every year, even during periods of overseas residence.

⑤ For keiko practice held overseas or online participation via the internet, overseas residents are exempt from the membership registration process and payment of the annual membership fee.

⑥ We currently do not mail our organizational magazine to overseas-resident members. When you visit Japan, please contact the administrative office; we can then mail up to one year's worth of back issues and the annual fee payment slip to your place of stay. Please pay the annual fee upon receipt of the payment slip.

*Overseas residents must choose between "Overseas-Resident Member" status and "Regular Member" status.

If you choose the former, you pay the fee using a payment slip (e.g., at a convenience store) when you train in Japan. (We will ask you to keep your receipts so you can recall when you last made a payment.)

In the latter case, you will be a standard member, and payments will be debited from your bank account annually, just as they are for Japanese residents.
